My weigh loss journey began many years prior to meeting Yvette. I weighed 200 pounds and I was unhappy. I decided then to do something about my weight and I joined Jenny Craig and lost 45 pounds. I was happy but wanted to get stronger and lose another 10 pounds. I met Yvette at LA Fitness and began working out with her about 9 years ago. However, work got busy and I found myself working out less and eating out more and I gained 30 pounds. During this time I found it so uncomfortable to work out, wore big clothes to hide and hated to go out since nothing fit. I remember working out with Yvette and just crying since I couldn’t believe I let myself gain so much weight. I decided to make a change in 2014. I began working out 5 days a week, working out 2 days with Yvette and Shannon, and I rejoined Jenny Craig and lost 15 pounds. However as time went on, I found this was not the plan for me. I received a coupon in my email for Weight Watcher’s and decided to give it a try. Let me say wow! Weight Watcher’s taught me balance and preplanning goes a long way. Everything started to click and what Yvette was trying to tell me all these years started to sink in. I was working out 5 days a week, 3 days on my own and a day each with Shannon and Yvette. I was moving more thanks to my Fitbit and my mother who walks 7 miles a day (maybe one week I will beat her in steps), and I was eating right. I am happy to say I am down 20 pounds! I am feeling good and feeling strong! Hey Tamika, so proud of all your hard work… I am mostly so excited to see that everything finally just clicked…. its amazing when that happens.
