beforeafterHi! If you don’t know me already, my name is Rosaria Mercado. I am the one that has been pregnant 3 times all while taking Yvette’s class. Needless to say, my weight has fluctuated a bit. My story begins when I was about 12. I had what my mom called “baby fat.” Whatever it was, I wanted it to go away. During my summer break, I got up early and worked out to every early morning show on the fitness channel. If you remember, Denise Austin, Gilad’s bodies in motion, yoga? I did it all, no matter what was on. I started at 6 or 7 am until 11 am. I did lose the “baby fat” but most importantly, I realized I loved working out because of how I felt after.

So Rosaria Weight Loss Success Story Begins

So my fitness journey began. Since then, I was the regular worker outer. I joined gyms, took classes, went jogging, walking, did yoga, etc. The only thing I didn’t do was weights!  Haha… I got married and moved to central Jersey and I joined La fitness in 2007. I’m sure you can guess the rest!? I took Yvette’s kick boxing class and I was hooked. Then I got pregnant. I worked out about the same but still no weights. After my first daughter was born, it took me a while to get back into the grove of working out. I gained the most of all my pregnancies. I looked forward to getting back to my normal weight but still had a few pounds to go. I had my second daughter 2 years after. Shortly after that birth, I joined Yvette’s group training. It was my first time using weights, aside from the 3 or 5 pounds before! I loved the workout and wanted to go as much as I could. Almost a year after my second delivery, my body became more defined and shapely. I was strong and felt the best I ever had in my life! I was addicted to using weights. I trained once or twice a month and took every class….and I got pregnant again. Yes it was a third girl!!! This last pregnancy was the best by far. I didn’t gain that much weight and I worked out until the night before I went into labor. I started training again 2 months after delivery. After 7 months, I was back to my pre-pregnancy weight. Yay! My body is a work in progress but it’s been exciting to see that each time I “bounced back” quicker because of weight training and the commitment to eating healthy. I now train with Cris and I love it! She is just the best!! She’s motivating, helpful and always follows up with me. I began consistently eating clean and started juicing. I don’t go a day without a juice. It really gives me the energy I need and I need all the energy I can get with 3 little girls….ages 5, 3 and 8 months. Life sure is wonderful, but when you feel wonderful you can be your best for the people around you, as well as yourself. I’m thankful to be part of Yvette Salva fitness. The passion for what they do is amazing and the heart with how they do it is incredible. They care about people and they truly lead by example. Yvette! I’ve been taking your classes for 7 years, wow!! Thank you for doing what you do (always kicking it up a notch) and for your encouraging words throughout the years. Cris, thank you for being so wonderful! You are inspiring and I look forward to training with you all week. During my training session, all Cris has to say to keep me motivated is “jumping burns stored fat”…yep, I’m motivated!
