As most of you know… I am a self development junky and I am always trying to reach my full potential. I spend hours upon hours listening to audio tapes… attending seminars and reading books. I am obsessed.

Not sure why.. but I think its been a gradual shift for me. Once I changed my life and became sober.. I realized wow.. where have I been all these years!. This woke up something in me that said.. you can get it …. and I mean you can get anything you want as long as you do the work. During the years of drinking and drugging my life revolved around where can I get my next fix… and where is the party. But since then … I had a complete shift in my mindset and I have accomplished so much. To say that your potential is limitless is 100% TRUTH. I’ve gotten alot  of good take aways recently from some of the readings and audio Ive been listening too so I figured I would share.

1. Make a vision board or write down your goals.

YOU set these goals. Don’t let anybody else tell you what your goals should be. Goals keep you focused on what’s next, and writing them down keeps you on track. They can be huge or little.. I mean if you want to lose 100lbs write it down.. if you want to go to school write it down… If you want to have a baby write it down. When I was getting sober.. I wrote down every day .. I will stay sober today.. I did that everyday for a long time. When I wanted to adopt.. I had a vision board with a pic of a baby.. and when I wanted to become a trainer … I wrote it down. Small or big just write it down.

2. Choose things just out of reach..

I am a huge believer in this .. but this is a scary one. Shoot for something that makes you feel a little queasy. For example… if you want to give a lecture but are afraid of public speaking maybe join toastmasters… you get the picture. I am contemplating Doing this nutrition course… its about a 12 month  course but god it makes me scared.. all the what if’s come into play.. what if I can’t study.. what if I don’t like it.. what if I don’t pass the exam.. smh!!!!! Screw it whats the worst that can happen just try..

3. Take Massive action

This is huge …never leave the sight of writing out a goal without taking MASSIVE action. This is one where you just have to get out of your head and EXECUTE. Stop researching the next kettle bell workout.. just pick up the bell and start. Want to lose weight … pick up the phone and call a trainer and set up your first appt. Want to lose weight? make a call for a nutritionist. If you don’t take action.. it won’t happen.

4. Stay persistant

Ok this is huge.. I know how hard it is to stay persistent .. but this separates the people who actually accomplish a task and those who don’t. this is all about the hustle and the grind. Make the calls… do the workouts… read the chapters.. whatever you are focusing on .. it has to be all in. Its ok to fall off but get right back to it. I went to 6 or 7 rehabs before i got clean.. ha! I had to do a lot of research and development to do 🙂 .. but once i was in.. I was all in. Every day you gotta do the work . The ability to persist regardless of setbacks, unexpected events, bad news and resistance—it the key to actually making things happen. all successful people execute grind and hustle.. you gotta do the work. and you got to be consistent. with everything.
EXECUTE GRIND AND HUSTLE.. MAN THAT SHOULD BE A SHIRT… I’M ON FIRE TODAY:)
How much success have you accumulated in your life? Whatever level you have attained, you can do more. Never limit your potential success…. Have monster goals and attack them hard. Remember that people who are highly successful—in both their professional and personal lives—continue to work, produce and create long after they’ve made it. I heard something once.. if you took the top self made millionaires in the world and took away all their money. They would come back within a short period of time as a millionaire. All about the work ethic.
Last but not least I leave you with this.. invest in yourself and remain a student. I am always trying to challenge my self with gaining knowledge… What I know for sure is that you will not reach your full potential unless you continue to learn.. So write down your goals ladies and smash them.
